Lena K. Little

Lena K Little Public Relations brings over fifteen years of experience crafting strategic, tailored, and goal-oriented campaigns that support experts and storytellers in reaching the next level of their careers, as well as making space for their voices, perspectives, and insights. This multi-faceted approach draws on experience from my varied perspectives of the industry — having worked inside two major publishing houses, at a top tier independent bookseller, and within a major media group — all of which afford me a unique and holistic outlook to champion the work, help it connect with its core audience, and introduce it to the widest public.

My career in publicity began at Alfred A. Knopf and Pantheon. Following that I oversaw publicity, marketing, social media and membership at Politics & Prose Bookstore while getting an education in what booksellers do so well. Then I was on the PR and communications team at National Geographic and most recently acted as Director of Publicity at Little, Brown.

I have experience with fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and photography books alike. I have worked with academics, Nobel laureates, celebrities, and debut novelists on books that have been Oprah Book Club picks, #1 New York Times bestsellers, Pulitzer Prize winners, and more.

I bring a comprehensive approach, partnering with talent on the public-facing narrative arc, identifying audiences, conversational entry points and key targets, and executing an impactful rollout, including op-ed, essay and excerpt placement, reviews, interviews, and more. I have relationships with national TV, radio, print, and digital media as well as subject-specific outlets, sections and influential freelancers across subject areas. I am always expanding my knowledge and connections base, beginning each campaign with research rather than a previous press plan.

Personally speaking, I am an immigrant and Brooklyn is home.
